Welcome to Helsinki City Running Day on May 18th!
In this message you will find important information about the event and your participation in HCRD 2019.
Registration card and the running bib
The bib numbers and registration cards are sent to runners’ emails. You may either print it out and take with you or write down your race number when picking up your runner’s package and t-shirt from the Competition office. Also, a friend may do this for you with your number and name. The bib and the gear bag are handed over in Hall A and the t-shirts in Hall B. Remember to pick up your runner’s package latest at 1,5 hours before your start on Saturday 18th.
Competition Office and HCRD Expo, Töölö Sports Hall (Kisahalli, address: Paavo Nurmen kuja 1) Opening Hours: Friday May 17th at 09 AM – 8 PM and Saturday May 18th at 8 AM – 2 PM. Expo is open for everyone. You may purchase sport equipment, products and other services provided by the partners there.
HCRD Starts
Norlandia Minimarathon warming up starts at 8:30 at Eläintarha Sports Field. The smallest kids start at 9 AM.
After kids the half marathon runners start from Mäntymäentie. Please be 15 minutes before your start at the start area. The first starting corral of HCR half marathon starts at 11.30 AM from Mäntymäentie. In HCR half marathon there is 5 start corrals in every 10 minutes. After HCR starts HCM marathon and Relay at 3 PM from Mäntymäentie. Helsinki City 5 starts 3:15 PM from Ruoholahti market square.
Take your gear bag to the guarded equipment storage area in advance. The equipment storage is located behind the Telia 5G Arena at Bollis 6 (football field) which is the only place where you should leave your equipment. (Helsinki City 5 runners will have equipment storage at Ruoholahti market square.) EcoCompass: Don’t litter – Give your old shoes a second life in Tanzania!
Helsinki City Running Day Events are EcoCompass Event. Remember to throw your garbage only to the provided garbage cans. LiiKe ry collects old sneakers at the HCRD Expo.
The official After Run Party
The official Helsinki City Running Day After Run party will be held in Apollo Live Club on Sat 18th from 10 PM. Apollo is one of the biggest clubs in Helsinki city centre. The runners will get a free entry before 12pm by showing a medal (cloakroom cost not included). The age limit for runners is 20 years. See you there after the race!
